Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 October 2026

This policy explains what NUMA collects, why, who it is shared with and the choices you have. NUMA is operated by Nakagawa Kaho, trading as NUMA, based in Singapore. Contact: hello@numahealth.fit.

1. What we collect

Account details: your name, email address and sign-in method (email or Google).

Body and goal details you give us: age, sex at birth, height, weight, target weight, activity level, goal and pace. These are used to calculate your plan. Some of this is health-related information, which we handle with extra care.

Food details: the meals you log, your dietary needs, allergies, preferences and favourites.

Photos you choose to scan. A photo is sent for analysis to identify the food and is not used for anything else.

Messages you send to the coach, and its replies.

Weight entries and the progress calculated from them.

Subscription status, and basic technical information such as device type, app version and error reports. We do not see your card details; Apple handles payment.

2. How we use it

To provide the service: calculate and adjust your plan, show your diary and progress, scan meals, answer coach questions and send reminders you have turned on.

To keep NUMA safe and working: prevent abuse, enforce usage limits and fix problems.

To improve NUMA, using aggregated or anonymised information where we can.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Legal grounds

Where the law requires a legal ground, we rely on our contract with you to provide the service, your consent for health-related information and notifications, and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and improving it. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the information or your account.

4. Who we share it with

Service providers that process data for us under contract: Google Firebase (accounts, database and hosting), Anthropic (AI analysis of meal photos and coach messages), RevenueCat and Apple (subscriptions), Resend (service emails) and Expo (app delivery).

Content sent for AI analysis is processed to return a result to you. Anthropic’s commercial terms do not allow it to train its models on this content. It may keep the content for a limited period for safety and abuse monitoring before deleting it.

Authorities, where the law requires it. A successor, if NUMA is ever reorganised or sold, under the same protections.

We do not share your personal information with restaurants. Restaurants see only aggregated figures, such as how often a dish was logged.

5. Where it is stored and for how long

Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers in Singapore, and some processing takes place in the United States. Where data leaves your country, we rely on the safeguards the law requires.

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account we delete your profile, meals, weight entries, coach history and photos within 30 days, except where we must keep something by law, such as payment records.

6. Your choices and rights

You can see and correct most of your information in the app, turn reminders on or off, and delete your account in Profile.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict some uses, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to hello@numahealth.fit and we will respond within the time the law requires.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and rules that limit each account to its own data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee security, and we will tell you and the relevant authority if a breach affects you as the law requires.

8. Children

NUMA is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in a significant way we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
